Horizons PBC and Momentum Events Announce Collaboration on New York and Northwest Conferences - Momentum Events

Today, The Horizons Center PBC, Inc., a public benefit corporation (Horizons PBC), has entered into an agreement with Momentum Events, a leading conference and events services company, to be the Organizing Partner of the Horizons Northwest and Horizons New York conferences taking place September 15-18 and October 12-16, respectively.

Horizons New York is the longest-running and largest annual psychedelic community event in the world, and this year marks the fifteenth conference in New York City. Taking place at The Great Hall at The Cooper Union and The New York Academy of Medicine, Horizons New York will feature five days of learning, connection, and community that explores the many dimensions of psychedelics.

Horizons Northwest will take place at the Portland Art Museum in Portland, Oregon and will provide four days of learning, connection, and community that explores the many dimensions of psychedelics. In 2020, voters in the U.S. state of Oregon passed Ballot Measure 109, which creates a regulated system for the supervised use of psilocybin, a naturally-occurring psychedelic.

With an estimated 2500+ cumulative attendees across both events, Horizons will once again provide top-quality education and community-building opportunities for clinicians, facilitators, patients, advocates, scholars, political leaders, executives, and funders, and the growing community of all who share an interest in psychedelics.

“This partnership allows Horizons to grow, while maintaining our values and integrity” said Kevin Balktick, Founder and Director of Horizons. “Now, Horizons can focus on developing our content and relationships throughout the community, while Momentum manages the production, sales, and marketing of the conferences.”

The curation of the conferences remains strictly editorial, and the partnership does not involve any changes in equity or board membership of Horizons PBC. The Horizons brand continues to be owned by Horizons Media, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational charity.

Ben Greenzweig, Co-Founder and CEO of Momentum Events said, “It is an honor and privilege to be working with Horizons, as they are a true psychedelic event pioneer. Long before it was in the news and generally accepted by the public, Horizons was producing content extolling the potential benefits of psychedelics, bringing communities together, and sharing messages of science, culture, tradition, healing – and hope.”
