The first session for the 21st Annual Clinical Research Billing Compliance Summit is confirmed. Ryan Meade and Chris Conway will close the summit on the final day with "25 Years In: Lessons Learned, Gaps Remaining and the Road Ahead," moderated by Kelly Willenberg.
If you were one of the 333 people who joined their book launch session in April, you already know why they are first on the schedule. That session filled the chat with questions from coverage analysts, revenue cycle teams, and colleagues on the sponsor side, and we are still hearing about it. We pulled five of those questions into a post here if you want a sense of how they work.
Ryan and Chris set the bar for what we want the 2027 program to be. Practical, grounded in real audit and remittance data, and useful the Monday after you get home. A quarter century into this work, they will walk through the milestones that shaped billing integrity, the gaps that are still open, and where automation and payer engagement head next. Announcing them first tells you the direction we are taking the whole summit.
Here is what is different about how we are planning this year.
Kelly is going through the evaluation forms from our recent summits line by line. She is pulling the themes attendees rated highest, the questions that came up most in the room, and the gaps people told us still need work. The 2027 agenda is being built from that record, not from assumptions.
Early themes rising to the top include CMS and Medicare policy changes, coverage analysis, clinical trial budgeting and financial performance, contracting and negotiation, billing compliance audits and risk, and the growing role of AI and automation in research operations.
We want the right topics. We also want the right faculty delivering them.
This is where you come in. If you lead work in clinical research billing, coverage analysis, research finance, contracting, compliance audits, CMS and Medicare policy, or AI and automation in research operations, we want to hear from you.
We are accepting proposals now for keynotes, panel discussions, and case study sessions. Speakers receive complimentary registration, featured bio and promotion, access to speaker only receptions, and CEU eligible sessions across the CCB, AAPC, and SOCRA tracks.
