Cipriana Quann, commonly known as the “Quann Sisters” along with her identical twin sister has been using her platform to speak on diversity, inclusivity, the power of sisterhood and surviving over a decade of sexual, physical and mental childhood abuse.

Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Cipriana was selected as one of six brilliant women in New York by Vogue Magazine for their ‘My Life in Vogue’ Documentary along with an editorial feature in the US issue of Vogue Magazine, shot by iconic Photographers Inez and Vindooh. Dubbed the “voice of your generation” by HBO, “Influential Millennial” by Gap and described as the “greatest hope for our civilization” by the great, late, legendary New York Times photographer; Bill Cunningham. Cipriana has paved her way in the fashion industry proving beauty is more than aesthetics.

Cofounder and Editor in Chief of past lifestyle website, “Urban Bush Babes”. The uniting core of the site was created to support, encourage and highlight the multi-faceted lives of women of color. Celebrating difference as the norm, and breaking down the “ideal standard” of beauty, ‘Urban Bush Babes’ quickly rose to garner a following of 450,000 weekly readers in just a year after it’s inception in 2011, and why Cipriana was 1 of 4 women around the world to be chosen for iconic Finnish Design House; Marimekko’s Women of Influence Series- an initiative highlighting women across the globe making a difference. Cipriana was the only woman selected in the United States. Marissa Mayer (President and CEO of Yahoo) was the prior US selectee.

In 2015, Cipriana was personally invited to the White House to meet current President, Joe Biden, specifically regarding her contributions of creating change within the fashion/beauty industry for women of color with her website, Urban Bush Babes.

Featured in editorial spreads of Vogue Magazine, Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Elle Brazil, NY Mag, V Mag, Cosmopolitan and dubbed “Style Stars” by W Magazine, countless “Best Dressed” lists by Vogue Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, US Weekly and WWD. Also named one of the ’50 Most Interesting People on the Internet’ by Cosmopolitan.

Cipriana is also a TED X Talks Speaker, featured in campaigns such as FENDI, Valentino, Tiffany & Co and Bulgari to name a few, as well as on the covers of Condé Nast Traveller, Time Out NY and IRK Magazine.

In addition Cipriana along with her sister are the first two Black American sisters to grace the cover of Harper’s Bazaar Netherlands, on the power of sisterhood and their advocacy and work to create a more inclusive fashion/beauty industry.

Cipriana has also been an ambassador for The Girls Club of New York, The Boys Club of New York and currently the ambassador and mentor for “The Riley’s Way Foundation. The foundation empowers young students to use kindness and empathy to create meaningful connections and positive change through programs that address pressing equity issues, social/justice matters, epidemiology, health, environmental/community, mental health or simply building resources within their school, locally or global areas.

Cipriana’s notoriety in the fashion world has been overshadowed by her vulnerability and courageousness to speak on the severe trauma she experienced from the age of five to fifteen years old, the debilitating effects, such as addiction that resulted from the abuse, the power of her connection as a twin sister to survive, and sustainable healing/therapeutic modalities such as passionately working with psychedelics for the past seven years.

In addition to her viral social media content along with her sister on abuse and trauma garnering over 1.5 million views. Her most recent interview with The Cut Magazine delved into her past, as she spoke on the power of her connection as a twin to survive and overcome the abusive adversaries.

Cipriana is transitioning the silence of the trauma as a child to utilize her voice as an adult, to help others seek paths of healing, de-shed the shame, guilt, fear, anger and addictions often stemmed from childhood abuse without support.
